1. E-rideables require special attention:

Do not clean your E-rideable with a high-pressure washer. The electrical system on E-rideables is sensitive to moisture and is not built to withstand high-pressure water jets.
Do not use a car cleaner or soaps on an E-rideable as most car soaps have wax in them which is not suitable for E-rideables.

2. Regularly clean your E-rideable:

In order to increase the longevity of the E-rideable and the components, the best way to clean it is to wipe it down with a dry cloth. When cleaning your E-rideable, do not , especially get on the following parts wet:

  • The wheel hub bearing (the centre of the wheels).
  • The brake pads, brake discs, chains, gears, and the motor on e-Bikes,
  • The bottom bracket (where the pedals connect through the frame) on e-Bikes.
  • The headset bearing (where the handlebars connect to the frame) on e-Bikes.

Use a brush to clean the dry dirt from the rims and tyres of your E-rideable. After that, take a wet cloth or sponge to wipe down the frame. Make sure to get to the underside of the frame where the dirt is most likely to gather. Once your E-rideable has been thoroughly cleaned, rinse off all the dirty water. You can use a clean, dry rag to wipe the residue at the end.

3. Maintain the battery as instructed in the User Manual:

Only charge the battery with the included charger.
When you remove the battery to store it, make sure it is in a safe, climate-controlled space. If the bike is not used for a longer period, it is best to remove the battery from the bike.

Charge the product when needed, at least every 3 months.

When charging the battery, make sure it is in a dry location and be sure it's in a place where it won’t cause a fire.

4. Maintenance of your new e-Bike:

For e-bikes, it’s recommended to lube the chain to prevent it from rusting. To do this, please make sure your chain is completely dry. Next, take your chain lube and apply a slow but steady stream to the inside of the chain as you rotate the cranks. Keep this process until the whole chain is lubricated.

5. Tyre Pressures:

Having the right tyre pressure can make a big difference in the quality of your ride. If the tyre pressure is too high, you will have less traction which leads to a harsh, bumpy ride. But if the tyre pressure is too low, your E-rideablebike will have extra rolling resistance. More energy will be lost in your ride, and this will also quickly wear your tyres.
